It's very well made and durable Worked like a champ, just remember that the eyepiece also locks the Compass card in place - if it isn't moving, loosen the eyepiece until it free-floats again. Then re-lock it in place (tighten the eyepiece) for storage.
The Compass quality is very good, in fact, better than I expected and the same can be said for the carrying case. The Hiking Trails will not go un-hiked now you can find your way to every Trail Head with this Compass and find your way back.
